Bengaluru-based startup ‘Ather Energy’ invests ₹2000 crore to set up EV plant located at Bidkin within Aurangabad Industrial Area [AURIC] in Maharashtra. Ather Energy is revolutionising sustainable commuting in India.

Their third cutting-edge EV plant, which will be built in Maharashtra, is projected to manufacture up to 1 million units of vehicles and battery packs annually. The new plant will produce electric two-wheelers and battery packs.

The company has crossed 200 fast charges of LECCS (Ather’s charging standard that’s now freely available and is an industry standard) in Bengaluru alone.

Ather Energy was started in 2013 by Tarun Mehta and Swapnil Jain, two engineering graduates straight out of college with the audacity to dream and challenge the well-established Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and replace it with an electric drive.
